Artistic Anatomy and Figurative Art Forum
OBJECTIVE:
Ideally I would like to teach Digital and Traditional Drawing and Painting as well as Photoshop. I have always loved art and want to find a profession that allows me to further explore Drawing and Painting in both digital and traditional media as well as explore 3D modeling and animation. I have always wanted to make teaching my career, and to that end have taught both free and paid Workshops online through my Artistic Anatomy and Figurative Art Forum, to which I have dedicated two years thus far as a volunteer due to my enthusiasm for teaching. I will be teaching college level art courses at Otis College of Art and Irvine Valley College in the fall, in addition to teaching college preparatory art courses in the summer.
SKILLS:
Digital: Maya, AfterEffects, Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator, Flash, some Dreamweaver, ZBrush, and Mudbox.
Traditional: Advanced drawing and painting in a variety of media with an emphasis on the figure, anatomy, and portraiture. Well versed in color and in drawing and painting still life and landscape. My primary passion is for traditional and digital figurative drawing and painting.

B.F.A. Art Center College of Design – Illustration. Graduated with Honors.
M.F.A. George Mason University – Digital Art and Animation, 2007. Graduated with 3.8 GPA.

Anatomy and the Human Figure. Both of my online courses have been quite popular and successful.

June 2005 – Present: Forum Leader for Artistic Anatomy and Figurative Art Forum on CGTalk.com.
I moderate an online forum for digital and traditional artists which I created in June of 2005 for the CGSociety website CGTalk.com, whose worldwide audience totals 250,000. CGTalk is the largest and most prestigious computer graphics website in the world.
As a moderator, I create tutorials and invite others to do so, create and run Workshops, and critique the work of others through paintovers / corrections and verbal suggestions. I also create my own work and continually improve by participating in the Workshops which I run.
The last free Workshop I created, Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 1 - The Head, attracted nearly 200 participants and nearly 60,000 hits. In the last year, I have run 22 free Open Figure Drawing Workshops which have lasted 2-4 weeks each in duration.

October 2004: Animation artist for Multimedia Performance Studio’s Production of Silence and Darkness, A Live Movie for the Cell Phone Age. (Fairfax, VA) Responsible for creating set pieces and animations for live performance artists. New Media Performance Studio, Harris Theatre, Center for the Arts.
April 2004: Animation artist for Multimedia Performance Studio’s Production of Time Traveller Zero Zero. (Fairfax, VA) Responsible for creating set pieces and animations for live performance artists. New Media Performance Studio, Harris Theatre, Center for the Arts.
August 2000 – February 2005: Lead Graphic Designer, Government Subcontractor. (Springfield, VA)
Lead Graphic designer for government subcontractor which created DVDs, CD-ROMs, Websites, and other digital products for the military. Duties included all phases of production art: CD label and cover design, interface design, design and creation of content graphics, 2-D animations, 3-D design and animations, quality-control including text/script editing, audio, voiceovers, etc.
As a Lead Graphic Designer I was responsible for overseeing a group of graphic designers and programmers to get projects completed on time for the company’s federal clients, which included the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Energy, FEMA, the FBI, the EPA, ATF, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
